If you need chocolate to read this click here to go to MORE CHOCOLATE In Dunedin New Zealand, in the center of town there is a Cadbury Chocolate Factory. It is huge and covers several city blocks. If you stay in the hotel across the street you can occasionally catch a very faint hint of chocolate in your room. Not a lot, just enough to make you pause and sniff the air. Not all the time only occasionally. Perhaps as a chocoholic you are just a bit more aware of the fragrance. Out side on the street it becomes slightly stronger. This is a chocoholics dream.
There is a huge wall of Cadbury chocolate bars. The scent of chocolate starts to thicken in the air around you. The scent starts to permeate your clothes and skin and hair. The longer you stay the more intense the chocolate smell becomes. You know it will cling to you for hours after you leave. This is a chocoholics dream. If you had to stay too long, like all day, every day, the smell of that wonderful chocolate would drive you nuts. Oh the wonderful smell and all the chocolates. As you go along the tour learning about chocolate and all the different candies they make, you are given samples to take home. Now a true chocoholic has no need for the little plastic bag they give you to carry the samples in, except to hold the empty wrappers. What samples? There are three storage silos at the Cadbury factory. They use them to store the mixes to make the different candies. One silo is painted Cadbury purple. This is a special one as you soon find out. Just when you are ready to overdose on candy the tour director tells you it is almost over but for one last treat. As you walk up a winding stairway in a tower you are warned to walk carefully because it is a bit slippery, oh yes try not to touch the walls or railing. You look down and notice they are slick with chocolate. The guide stops and tells you to stand back against the wall and watch. The guide pushes a button and you watch in awe as suddenly one ton of melted milk chocolate pours down in a sheet in front of you. Yes, one ton of melted milk chocolate! You must use every ounce of restraint you have not to step forward and reach for it. This goes on for minutes. All you can think of is “go ahead splash me, I’ll lick it off”.
Now go indulge your chocoholic's dream, have some chocolate, you probably need it.
