Cigar Fact-In the United States, authentic Cuban-made cigars are widely considered to be "the best smoking experience" of all cigars and are “forbidden” for Americans. On February 7, 1962, President Kennedy created a trade embargo on Cuba. It is still in affect today and it remains illegal for US residents to purchase or import Cuban cigars regardless of where they are in the world. The advent of the internet and online shopping has made it much easier for people in the States to purchase cigars from other countries, especially when shipped  to purchase without bands.

Cigar Fact- Some cigar manufacturers purposely place different types of tobacco from one end to the other to give the cigar smokers a variety of tastes, body and strength from start to finish.

Major Cigar Fact- Always smoke a cigar from the correct end, if not it could result in a bad experience.

The basic steps to a cigar.

1st - Tobacco is cured, reducing the water and sugar content.

2nd - Fermentation is the process of helping the leaf die slowly. This is what determines flavor, burning, and aroma. It is after this fermentation that leaves are sorted for use as fillers or wrappers.

3rd - The cigar is made up of fillers, wrapped-up bunches of leaves inside the wrapper. Fillers of various strengths are can be blended to produce the desired cigar flavors. Fillers are either long or short; long filler uses whole leaves and is of a better quality, while short filler, also called "mixed", uses chopped leaves, stems, and other bits.

4th - The wrapper is the outer leaf of the cigar and comes from the widest part of the plant. The wrapper determines much of the cigar's character and flavor, it influences the immediate taste of the cigar in your mouth, and as such, its color is often used to describe the cigar as a whole. Colors range from a greenish hue to a dark brown, nearly black color.
