Gentlemen Let’s Shop
Gentlemen Let’s Shop. This is for the men out there so they don’t feel left out. Because lets face it, there are really a lot more stores and clothes for women. It can’t be helped though; men’s fashions and styles really don’t change that much over the years. Well maybe a bit since, say, Colonial times.
Yes, okay there was the Nero collar and polyester leisure suits, but really not that much has changed. Honestly a suit is a suit is a suit. Dress shirts, sport shirts, T-shirts, dress slacks, sport slacks, jeans and shorts and you men are set. It’s pretty certain that next year they will still be in fashion.
Some men wear suits everyday, blue collar workers don’t. Even if you must dress up to go to work just be happy with suits the way they are now. In colonial times your shoes fit on foot, no left or right. Because men’s pants only came to the just below the knee, they wore stockings. Leggings for were worn for warmth and protection. Your coat came to just over your knee and in fashion it sometimes belled out. And you always wore a lacy cravat around your neck. If you didn’t wear the cravat men wore a stock. This was a piece of fine linen that was usually pleated to fit beneath the chin. Men had to buckle these behind their necks.

Oh yes, your shirt was part of your undergarments and went to your knees and was not form fitted. Men also chose to wear underdrawers. The knee-length underdrawers were worn as separate linings to breeches. They helped in preserving the breeches and added an additional layer of warmth. To top it all off men also wore a wig.
