This site is for folks that want the convenience of shopping from home and not fighting the malls or other stores. Sometimes it is much more convenient to shop online than try finding a store that carries what you want or need.
Buying something new makes all of us feel great. The difference for a shopaholic is one purchase leads to another. It doesn't matter what they shop for. It can be shoes, clothes, accessories, gadgets, mens, clothes, ties, boots, electronics, what ever. |
They are preoccupied with shopping, they're always thinking about it, planning the next shopping trip. Some shopaholics shop for the rush of it, others to fill some inner need. Some are trying to boost their self-esteem, or fell they have nothing else to do. Some compulsive shoppers remember a happier time or to escape troubled ones. Some shopaholics don’t realize they have a problem. Some shopaholics never admit there is a problem. They go along happily shopping all the time. For some there comes a time of realization, for others, never.
Lots of people, overspend once in a while. It's very easy to do at the holiday time of year. How many times have you been on vacation and put more on your charge card than you planned or run to the bank for extra cash? The key phrase here is once in a while. The shopaholic is different. Shopaholics have to spend. For the compulsive shopper it’s the thrill of the purchase, not the actual item the purchase represents. |

Do you know anyone who is a shopaholic? It is not just women who are shopaholics either. Men can be shopaholics too. How about the guy that has every tool imaginable and has never touched them? Is that a compulsive shopper, maybe, or is that a collector? What about the grandmother who just bought fifteen cashmere sweaters all the same style just different colors because she liked the red one? She doesn’t need them or plan on wearing them just wants them. Is she a shopaholic or collector?

So like before, come on all you shopaholics, and let’s go shopping.
