Taking on a Cause and Giving a GiftTaking on a cause and giving a gift is probably not top of your priority list in these hard times. But they are still not things to be over looked either. Taking on a cause and giving a gift is now more important than ever. Causes are always the first things to suffer. Here are listed two important causes. So take on a cause and give a gift. It might make you feel better.
Everyone has probably made donations to a charitable organization. Have you ever bought Girl Scout Cookies? You made a donation to a cause, the Girl Scouts. How about buying wrapping paper or candy bars from neighborhood kids for school? Again you made a donation to a cause, that particular school. There are hundreds of thousands of charitable organizations around the world and we all have our favorites.
Do you donate time and money to your favorite charity? Do you work towards keeping your town clean on Earth Day? Do you give old clothes, furniture and things like that to second hand stores or Good Will or something similar? How about money donations? They are all things charities need.
People will donate to their favorite organizations for different reasons too. Maybe your son or daughters 2nd grade class is going on a field trip and they need to raise some money to cover the entry fee to the museum. They have a bake sale. You bake a cake or two and donate them, then of course you need to buy something. Good cause and you feel satisfied. Then the end of the year is approaching and your accountant suggests a nice big money donation to a favorite charity would certainly help your taxes. You benefit in several ways. You get a cake, you donate time, you write off on taxes. There is nothing wrong with this, because people can be more generous. There are people like Mother Theresa who give their lives to charitable works. This is an incredibly good thing. But we are not all Mother Theresa’s. But some people go overboard and causes start to take over their lives and everything focuses on that to the detriment of family. That is a bad thing.
Visiting Vices has chosen two charitable causes to present to you with the hope that you will participate in one or both. One benefits soldiers and one benefits children around the world. So please go to these two pages and concider what good you will be doing taking on a cause and giving a gift.
